Rowze
Waking up in the morning is hard, but waking up and starting your day productively is even harder. One commonality that we found in the ideation stage of our project is that family and friends best motivate us to do our best. By adding the spirit of competition and a support/accountability system, Rowze ensures that you can begin every day with a great start.
My Role: UX Designer, wireframing and prototyping
Ideation
At the beginning of the day, my team's main goal was to create something fun and something that we all felt passionate about. We started to talk about how difficult waking up is and how it's difficult to achieve something without something keep you accountable. We concluded that friendly competition with family and friends is a playful way to build better habits. Thus Rowze was born!
User Flows

Our team was divided into development and design. The development team was to code the prototype using HTML and the design team to build out the visual and UX design of the app. As a group we talked through what user flow made so that we can have a solid foundation.
Lo-Fi Wireframe

We blocked everything out with this lo-fi wireframe.

What is it?
Rowze gamifies the morning routine and motivates users to wake up on time with the help of friendly competition from their friends. After forming a group to play with, a player will complete a designated challenge within a time limit of their alarm clock going off, such as taking a selfie of themselves brushing their teeth. They can then see their team’s pictures on their feed. Friends can hold each other accountable for their goals, build better habits, and have a fun way to connect throughout the week. The group will set stakes for the end of each week - either a reward for the player with the most points, or a punishment for the person with the least points. Everything is determined by the individual and the group, so the stakes and stress are meant to be low while productivity remains high.
